Carpe Nocturne was born to truly support “The New Dark Culture.” Not a “Goth,” “Industrial,” EBM,” “Future-Pop,” or “Darkwave” publication; instead, a publication that unites the entire culture of those music genres and all sub-genres. In addition to music, as we grow, Carpe Nocturne will begin to add and expand features and sub-features such as The DJ Booth, genre related Arts, Fashion and even other interests shared by this very unique and open-minded culture.


Debuting in September/October of 2005 by co-sponsoring The Crüxshadows North American tour kick off (with You Shriek and Ego Likeness), Carpe Nocturne has come a long way already. In only two short years (thus far) Carpe Nocturne has been a sponsor of Gothstock, two Crüxshadows shows, a show with Ayria and covered and/or interviewed many of the most popular bands and DJs on the scene. Additionally, we’ve been a strong and continuous supporter of The Blacksun Festival and, recently becoming an official sponsor of two more major events; Connecticut’s DarkStar Festival and North Carolina’s Eccentrik Festival and Art Show. We intend to sponsor and be involved with many more festivals and events, as well as hosting our own shows and events in the foreseeable future.


For those of you who have been regular monthly readers since our beginning, or if you started reading Carpe Nocturne recently, you will continue to see the positive and unbiased coverage of your favorite music, bands, DJ’s, events, Festivals and more! Better still, you will see even more coverage and more features! Contests, prizes and we’re even working on pod-casting for live interviews broadcasting new music!
